Country singer Parker McCollum recently posted an acoustic cover of a George Strait ballad on Instagram, sparking speculation among fans about a potential announcement.

The post coincided with a reel shared by George Strait, leading to requests for a tour stop in Texas.

This comes after McCollum canceled a show last year, hinting at a future explanation. Fans speculated that the cancellation was due to McCollum and his wife expecting their first child, which was confirmed in a gender reveal post.

“College Station, I told y’all it would all make sense,” McCollum wrote in his Instagram caption on Monday, teasing an announcement set for Tuesday morning (March 19) at 9 a.m. McCollum has performed “Carrying Your Love With Me,” which revealed which Strait song inspired him to sing and fulfilled his lifelong dream of opening for the country music superstar.
