Brenda Lee’s holiday classic “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time in its 65-year history. It’s actually her third No. 1 single (with 35 million streams and 21 million radio impressions last week) but the singer’s first since 1960. It’s also only the third seasonal song to reach No. 1, along with Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and “The Chipmunk Song” by the Chipmunks. Carey’s song is No. 2 this week, followed by Jack Harlow’s “Lovin On Me” at No. 3, Bobby Helms’ “Jingle Bell Rock” at No. 4, and Wham! at No. 5 with “Last Christmas.”
