Hot on the heels of the chart topping success of “Standing Room Only,” Tim McGraw surprised fans by dropping a six-song E-P titled Poet’s Resumé.

In a release, Tim says that the collection is his way of thanking his fans for an incredible year. Tim co-produced the project with longtime pal and producer Byron Gallimore and it includes songs written by some of his favourite songwriters. Lori McKenna (who penned McGraw’s “Humble and Kind”), Steve Dorff, Tom Douglas, and others wrote songs.

Poet’s Resumé concludes McGraw’s busy and successful year. After releasing his Standing Room Only album in late August, its title track became his 47th No. 1 hit in November. “In the spirit of being thankful, I’m so grateful for all of you and the ways you have supported me, my family and my music thru the years,” the singer stated in a hand-written message posted to Instagram, where he announced the new project and shared the cover art.
