On Monday evening, Brett Eldredge shared a sentimental post to social media to commemorate the three-year anniversary of his album Sunday Drive.

“This record holds a special place in my heart as it was the first time I fully stepped into the vulnerable places that I never was quite ready for,” Eldredge recalled in his caption.

“I learned that when your heart knows you need to go after something, even if it’s different or not always the popular or expected choice, that’s even more of a reason to go for it… the outcome of taking that risk is this album and I feel ever since then, I’ve been learning to love those deeper parts of myself and live to tell the stories…it’s a never ending process, and I’m grateful for getting the chance to let go and trust in myself”
