Tim McGraw recently spoke about “Standing Room Only”, his forthcoming 17th studio album that is “the best album yet,” according to McGraw.

“It’s true, but I feel like I always say that,” he laughed. “I’m a song guy, and I listen to songs all day… I’m always listening to new music, trying to find something that’s special, and I’m writing every day.”

The album will feature 13 brand-new tracks and was produced by McGraw and his longtime producing partner Byron Gallimore.

“As an artist, I always want to dig deeper and get better every time I make a new record — it’s a big part of what drives me, and I really believe this is one of the best projects we’ve made. I’ve been working on this album since 2020, and this collection of songs are some of the most emotional, thought-provoking, and life-affirming music I’ve ever recorded,” McGraw stated via a press release.

McGraw shares that his favorite place to write is at home, in Nashville, now that he and his wife, Faith Hill, have sold all their homes and only have one house.  While McGraw says some people think he never writes, he says his favorite songwriters will send songs, and most of the time, they are better than what he has written.

It will be released on August 25th.
