Woodstock Police are warning parents to remind their children not to accept any food or candy from strangers after a child became sick at the skate park on Saturday.

On Saturday September 5, 2020 sometime after 4:00PM, while utilizing the Southside Park Skate Park facility, a 10 year old became sick and lethargic after accepting jujubes/cookies believed to be laced with cannabis from another youth at the skate park.

The child is now safe and in good health.

Safety Tips:

  • Remind children not to accept any food or drink from strangers – regardless of the stranger’s age.
  • Store all cannabis products in a safe place that children cannot access.
