The number of active Covid-19 cases in the area continues to drop, according to today’s data release from Southwestern Public Health, which covers Oxford and Elgin counties. The total number of cases dropped from 25 to 21 since yesterday, with the declines occurring in Elgin County.

In Elgin, 4 resolved cases have resulted in their total dropping from 22 to 18. By municipality, Aylmer drops from 13 to 12 cases, Bayham goes from 6 to 5 cases, while St. Thomas has dropped from 3 cases to just 1.

In Oxford County, there has been no change. There are 3 active cases in the county, all of them in Woodstock.

Based on percentages, Southwestern Public Health is showing that two-thirds of those currently with the virus are males with females making up one-third of the total.
