Graduates of Western University have taken it upon themselves to create something called “The Smile Project” and it’s amazing. They’re making reusable masks with ‘smile panels’ to support communication for persons who have hearing loss and require seeing lip movement to properly communicate.

They’ve released a video showing you how to design your own, should you want to make your own smile mask. Because we could all use some more smiles.

While they’re filling orders for masks across Canada right now, they have started a GoFundMe to help cover the costs of making them. If you wish to contribute, check it out here.

Way to go!
