On Friday, May 29, 2020, at approximately 3:40 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment investigated a collision involving three vehicles at Talbot Street and Highway 59, Courtland, Norfolk County address.

It was determined that silver coloured pickup truck was travelling southbound on Highway 59 and a black Sports Utility Vehicle  was travelling northbound on Highway 59 preparing to turn eastbound on Talbot Street. A second pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Colonel Talbot Road when the driver entered the intersection and collided with both vehicles.

As a result of the collision, 5 people were taken to hospital by ambulance with various injuries.

The intersection of Highway 59 and Talbot Street was closed for approximately 4 hours to allow for investigation.

The investigation is continuing.
