For the third straight day, Southwestern Public Health is reporting no change in the numbers of Covid-19 active cases in the Oxford and Elgin counties and city of St. Thomas areas.

To recap, there is a total of 9 cases, 8 of them in Oxford County. Ingersoll is still dealing with 4 cases, while Tillsonburg and Woodstock have 2 cases each. The only case in Elgin County remains the 1 in St. Thomas.

In the past couple of months, there has been an amazing outpouring of support, emotional and financial, for the frontline workers who have the job of facing Covid-19 on a daily basis, in particular healthcare workers, nurses and doctors at hospitals around the world. In Tillsonburg, there are some signs of thanks outside the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. But the biggest sign is the one near the driveway entrance to the emergency area. From the hospital staff and management, their message is “Thanks…to our amazing community for your endless support!”
