Today’s data release from Southwestern Public Health shows some encouraging information regarding the number of active Covid-19 cases in Oxford County, Elgin County and the city of St. Thomas. The numbers are going down. The total number of cases has dropped from 18 to 13 since yesterday.

In Oxford County, active cases have dropped from 11 to 8. While Tillsonburg’s total has dropped from 4 to 3 cases, the town still has the most cases. Woodstock has dropped from 3 active cases to just 1. The municipalities of Blandford-Blenheim, Norwich, Southwest Oxford and Zorra also have 1 case each.

Elgin County has seen two cases resolved, dropping their total number of active cases to 5. St. Thomas saw a drop from 4 to 3 cases, while Aylmer no longer has any active cases. Dutton/Dunwich and Malahide still have 1 case each.

Here’s hoping this downward trend continues.
