Today’s data release from Southwestern Public Health, which covers Oxford County, Elgin County and the city of St. Thomas, is showing a slight decrease in the number of active cases of the Covid-19 virus. With one few case since Wednesday (Thursday saw no change in the totals), the total number of cases has dropped from 23 to 22.

The apparent resolved case is in Oxford County, specifically Blandford-Blenheim. They’ve dropped from 3 cases to 2, bringing the county number down as well from 16 to 15 cases. Woodstock still has 5 active cases and Tillsonburg remains with 3. While Zorra has dropped from 2 to 1 cases, a new case has been reported for Ingersoll. East Zorra-Tavistock, Norwich and Southwest Oxford all have 1 active case each.

Elgin County is reporting no change in the past few days. Their number of active cases remains at 7, with St. Thomas at 4 cases, while Aylmer, Dutton/Dunwich and Malahide still have 1 case each.
