Today’s updated data release from Southwestern Public Health shows no change since yesterday in the number of active cases in Oxford County, Elgin County or the city of St. Thomas. The total remains at 23 cases with 16 in Oxford County (including 5 cases in Woodstock and 3 in Tillsonburg). Elgin County still has 7 active cases with 4 in St. Thomas.

Among the charts posted by Southwestern Public Health is one for the age and gender distribution of the virus cases in the area. From those figures you can see more women (33 cases or 56.9%) than men (25 or 43.1%) have been infected. Also, the coronavirus has infected those in their fifties more than any other age group, 31.0%, twice as many as those in their thirties or seventies (at 15.5% each). Only one person in their nineties has contracted the virus.
