Monday’s data information on the coronavirus has been released by Southwestern Public Health, covering Oxford County, Elgin County and the city of St. Thomas.

For Oxford County, the total number of active cases since Friday hasn’t changed. It still stands at 10. However, there have been some changes. Tillsonburg, Woodstock and Blandford-Blenheim are still reporting two cases each. East Zorra-Tavistock has seen a new case since Friday, for a total of two cases. It appears Ingersoll’s lone case has now been resolved. Norwich and Zorra still have one case each.

Like Oxford County, Elgin County has the same total number of active cases it had on Friday, 18 in total, but the distribution among municipalities has changed slightly. St. Thomas still has 7 cases, while Dutton/Dunwich still has 4. Central Elgin has dropped from 3 to 2 cases, while West Elgin has gone from 1 case to 2. Alymer and Malahide still have 1 case each, Bayham has 1 new case and Southwold appears to have resolved their lone case.

One ray of hope in all the data that’s been made public is that there haven’t been any deaths reported in over a week. While that total remains at three, we can hope there won’t be anymore.
