Three new cases of the Covid-19 virus have been reported in Oxford County, the largest one-day increase in the county since the crisis began. According to Southwestern Public Health, all are women, one in her 30’s, two in their 50’s. While transmission details are pending, two of the new patients are self-isolating. That brings the total number of cases in Oxford County to seven. Two of the patients, both males, have been resolved, meaning they are no longer considered contagious. A male in his 70’s remains in hospital, three other patients are in self-isolation, while the status of one other case is pending. Southwestern Public Health covers Oxford and Elgin counties and the city of St. Thomas.
