On Monday, March 23, 2020 at approximately 5:30 p.m. an indecent act occurred at Roth Park in the City of Woodstock.

The suspect is described as a white male, heavy set, approximately 40 years of age, 5’7-5’8 ft. tall, wearing light blue jeans, grey rain jacket, black ball cap.

The male was observed standing in the trees about 100 feet off the walking trail and was masturbating while looking at the complainant. When the suspect noticed he was going to be photographed by the complainant the suspect ran eastbound further into the woods.

Following this Woodstock Police have issued a number of personal safety tips including:

 Trust your instincts, call 911 if there is an emergency
 Inform others when and where you are going
 Be alert and aware of your surroundings at all times
 Avoid unlit areas and short cuts
 Walk with a friend
 If you suspect you are being followed, call Police and yell if necessary
