Spent the day writing songs about life on the farm — about legacy — about memories — and how everything I’ve learned has been passed down to me from previous generations who’ve adored “Country Livin’” just like me. These values — and these lessons — have stuck with me, and will stick with me forever. And, I’m so proud that I get to pass down these memories — and soak in these moments with my children — all on a ranch — a farm — a little piece of land (aka heaven) that has been in our family’s’ name for over 100 years. Long live the country way of life… . . . My Grandpa Bear (Ron Wengzynowski) pictured here, standing about 5 foot 2, has more fire and passion in his short frame, than people much much taller. His big personality, big dreams, and hard work ethic is inspiring. He’s the ultimate “Longshot”. Went to the 8th Grade, then took over the farm. First, he worked with his parents… then his big ideas and entrepreneurial spirit took flight, and he increased the land, the herd of cattle, and improved this property into something I truly believe is spectacular. Longshot Wine (@longshotwine_ca) did a campaign on me, and my story, and it was my Grandpa Bear who gave me the inspiration (and the kick in the ass) to be who I am today… . . . And thanks to @markscanada for being there for each generation of my family — outfitting us — and people like us — across our country — for years.
