Not heading down south for March Break? You’re not alone! There’s plenty to do with the kids right here at home, with lots of options that won’t hurt your pocketbook.

Here’s some of our favourites!

Maple Syrup Time!

March = maple, right? The trees are ready to be tapped, and Catfish Creek has a fun week lined up for the family. From learning about making maple syrup, to crafts, and taking a sleigh ride through the woods, the Springwater Maple Syrup Festival is on every day through March Break.

Skate Free!

There are free skates every day at the Tillsonburg Community Centre from 9am – 10:30am.

Watch the Tundra Swans

The annual tundra swan migration hits Southwestern Ontario during March, and you and the kids won’t want to miss it! Catch the beautiful birds before they head north at Aylmer Wildlife Management. There are plenty of viewing spots – bring your camera, too!

Get Messy!

The Tillsonburg branch of the Oxford County Library is hosting a Messy March Break! Each day of March Break features a fun activity for your littles. Everything from glow-in-the-dark lasers to make your own dragon egg!
