A Flood Watch has been put in place as high wind batter the shore of Lake Erie.
The Long Point Conservation Authority and the Ministry of Natural Resources is warning people that near gale-force winds will cause water surges that could lead to localized flooding in low lying areas, and increases the risk of erosion.
The Ministry says the high winds will also causes waves near 2 meters tall. You are advised to avoid the beach.
The Flood Watch is expected to remain in place until noon tomorrow.
