Findings from the largest sleep study in the world show that there is a “sweet-spot” when it comes to the amount of sleep you get and how it affects your brain.
Beginning in June of last year, the study at Western University’s Brain and Mind Institute looked at test results from some 40,000 participants shows that on average 7 to 8 hours of sleep is optimal for brain function and too much or too less had the same negative effects on cognition.  And, too much or too little sleep affects all adults equally, regardless of age.
The study also revealed that even a single quality night of sleep can help get your brain back on track.
