Dundas Street between Ingersoll Road and Waterloo Street in Woodstock was closed for around 8 hours following an investigation, and this has led to the charges of two teens.

On Wednesday morning around 3am, Woodstock Police received information from the OPP that a theft occurred at a business in Thamesford and a white Hyundai and a grey van had fled the scene. OPP strategically followed the two vehicles and a short time later, they entered Woodstock at a high rate of speed. The Hyundai had eventually slammed into a parked cubed van that was on private property and the van mounted a curb near a neighbouring business.

After a short foot pursuit, police located the males and they have charged a 16 year old from Toronto and 17 year old also from Toronto. They are both facing multiple charges including possession of property obtained by crime.

No injuries were reported and the roadway has been re-opened.
