Brantford Flooding Promps Evacuations

There is significant flooding in Brantford.

Emergency operations in the city has issued an immediate evacuation call for the Holmedale, West Brant and Eagle Place areas of the city.

Residents in those areas should immediately evacuate north out of the floodplain area.

Those requiring shelter are encouraged to go to the:

Woodman Community Centre at 491 Grey St.

Brantford Transit buses will be available to assist evacuating:

Eagle Ave and Foster St., Baldwin & Erie Ave., Erie Ave & Aberdeen Ave

The following road closures are in effect:

Gilikson road

Ballantyne from the Spalding off ramp to Spalding Rr entrance to D’Aubigny Park.

River Road and Birkett Lane are closed from Erie Ave to Baldwin Ave

Grand River Ave from Sterling Street to Waterloo Street.
