Brantford's Vice-Squad has charged a Burford man with sexual assault, stemming from a complaint made by a 15-year-old girl.
It's alleged that at 3:00 am on March 13th, the victim received a text message from the suspect -- whom she knew -- asking to to meet in Brantford,
Investigators say the girl and a 14 year old friend were picked up by the man and driven to a location on Mohawk Dtreet, where they were given cigarettes and marijuana.
The suspect reportedly fondled the 15-year-old girl but not her friend.
The accused then dropped the two girls off at their original meeting place.
Following a complaint, 57-year-old Dennis Pokonzie was charged with sexual assault, sexual interference and luring a child via the internet.
Pokonzie will appear in a court in September. (jlw)
