Two Canadian medal favourites came through this morning in Canoe-Kayak. First up was Adam van Koeverden of Oakville, winning silver in the K-1 one-thousand. It is his fourth career medal after winning gold, silver and bronze in previous Games. A Norwegian paddler took the gold and a German won the bronze.
The Oldershaws now have a bronze medal for the family trophy case. Mark Oldershaw of Burlington was third in the men's C-1 one-thousand final. His grandfather, father and two uncles all competed in the Games, but the family was kept off the podium, until now. Germany won gold and Spain won silver.
