Police across the country are hunting for a man they believe is a “dangerous” killer.

They say their suspect was brazen enough to gun down four armoured-car guard colleagues, leaving three to die on the grounds of the University of Alberta.

Twenty-one-year old Travis Baumgartner remains at large.

His mother has issued an emotional statement pleading for her son to turn himself in.

At a news conference in Edmonton last night, Police Superintendent Bob Hassel said Sandy Baumgartner's thoughts are also with the victims.

Late last night, the fourth guard was still fighting for his life in an Edmonton hospital. (5)
