Drugs & Weapons Bust in Stratford

Three Perth County residents are facing numerous charges after a traffic stop in Stratford turned up drugs and weapons.

A Stratford police officer stopped the car after watching it swerve a number of times Saturday night.

An air-soft pistol was found at the drivers feet. He was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon.

A 36 year old female passenger was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A 38 year old male passenger was arrested after crystal meth was found in the car. A search of the man also turned up a stun-gun disguised as a cell phone, two illegal knives, bear spray, $700 worth of crystal meth and pills.

Police say more crystal meth was found sewn into the drivers clothing.

The driver from Mitchell and the two passengers from Stratfrod have are facing a total of 21 charges.
