Tillsonburg Passes Budget

The Town of Tillsonburg passed it 2018 budget and business plan. It will see the budget increase $825,900 which translates to a 1.95 percent tax levy increase.

Council continues to put a focus on infrastructure, earmarking $12.2 million for capital projects, a good portion of that money coming from government grants.

Also included in the budget is money for a new business park, improvements to the Bradburn subdivision, Concession Street East and the Annandale ball fields as well as significant upgrades to Lake Lisgar Water Park.

The town will also will purchase a new aerial fire truck to be delivered in 2019.

The Community Complex will get an energy retrofit to the tune of $4 million. The town will also begin converting street lights to led, which will pay for themselves overtime through energy savings.
