The Canadian military says it will not comment further of the death of a Canadian soldier in Manitoba until the investigation into the incident is complete.

Officials say Corporal Nolan Caribou died during a training exercise at CFB Shilo that focused on basic defensive routines, patrolling, and raids.

It also says that no live ammunition was being used at the time.

Caribou is the third soldier to die this year during a training accident on a Canadian Forces base.
