They were part of a commemorative bi-plane fly-past over the Vimy Ridge Memorial in France on April 9th of this year.

And now you can see two of these aircraft in person, as part of the “Birth of a Nation” coast-to-coast tour.

Weather permitting, they are to arrive at Tillsonburg Airport, Monday morning, at 11 o'clock. The event is free and open to the public, with static displays open Monday and Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m. Come out and view the First World War aircraft and meet the volunteer crew.

The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association will also be displaying some of its Second World War training aircraft and the public can tour its facilities and displays.

The vintage aircraft will take to the skies for some local flying on Tuesday morning and are scheduled to depart Tillsonburg on Wednesday.
