Brant County male charged with impaired driving

A traffic complaint on Haldimand Highway 54 led to the arrest of a 38 year old male.

Haldimand County OPP responded to the complaint at 8:30 p.m. Saturday night where they located the vehicle and found signs of intoxication from the driver.

OPP has charged Ryan Hayton of Brant County, Ontario with impaired driving and driving a vehicle with 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.

The vehicle has been impounded for seven days and Hayton was served with an automatic 90 day licence suspension.

Hayton is set to appear in Provincial Court Cayuga at a later date and if convicted, he could be facing a fine or jail time.
