An offshore worker from Mexico who was struck by lightning near Delhi has now died in a London hospital.

The 48 year old farm hand was walking back to a vehicle when he was hit by a bolt Wednesday afternoon at a Windham Centre area ginseng farm.

A Norfolk OPP spokesman told our newsroom the victim was pronounced dead after he was transferred from Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital to University Hospital in London.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating the man's death.

He's been identified as Ezequiel Cervantes-Nava.
