Three people are facing charges after an unsuccessful attempt to flee Perth O-P-P.

Early Wednesday morning, a marked cruiser was following a G.M.C Yukon, on Line 43, east of Amulree, when it made a sudden turn towards a laneway.  It failed to make the turn and entered the ditch.  After a brief stop, it then drove into a cornfield and turned back towards the laneway in an attempt to evade police.

The driver failed to stop for the cruiser, which by now had its emergency lights activated, and drove at a high rate of speed towards the farmhouse and barns.  The Yukon came to a stop as the fenced barn yard sealed off any avenue of escape.

35 year old Scott White, of Kitchener, is charged with “flight from police”, “mischief under $5,000.”, and “dangerous operation of a motor vehicle”.

35 year old James Warner, of Fergus, is facing one count of failing to comply with conditions of a recognizance.

33 year old Ronald Kirkbride, of Kitchener, is facing charges of possession of burglary tools and breach of probation.
