A Brantford Police officer spoiled the party of an aspiring young car thief who was perhaps too smart by half.
The officer, who was conducting a traffic stop at Grey street and Gretzky parkway early this (Wednesday) morning, noticed the car had been freshly painted and was still “tacky” to the touch.
Turns out the car had been stolen from Brant avenue early Civic holiday morning.
The officer then found a can of household paint and roller in the backseat.
The driver, who gave a false name, was arrested and taken into custody.
The 15 year old girl was charged with possession of stolen property under 5-thousand dollars, obstructing police and breach of recognizance.
