An Oxford County woman thought she could read and drive at the same time.

Around noon yesterday (Tuesday), Oxford OPP signalled over a driver who was reading a book while travelling at 100 kilometres per hour on the 401 near the Woodstock Service Centre.

63 year old Carmen Velocci from Innerkip was charged with careless driving.

With the wrap up of the long weekend, Oxford detachment says distracted driving of any form won't be tolerated.

Constable Stacey Culbert says “don't let distracted driving be your final chapter.”
